Open Rank Clinical Professor and Discipline Director, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (non-tenure track) Part-time (0.30 FTE) Athens, Cleveland, or Dublin Campus

Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine

Primary Responsiblities:

  • Develop and deliver osteopathic manipulative medicine curricular content primarily for 3rd and 4th year osteopathic students as a part of the Pathways to Health and Wellness curriculum.
  • Participate on teams to prepare and deliver active learning sessions to osteopathic medical students, including materials for pre-learning, in-classroom learning, and assessment of the learner.
  • Participate in classroom-based and clinical skills teaching sessions, which are delivered both in person and via distance learning technology.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the osteopathic manipulative medicine discipline-specific education at HCOM and recommend and implement changes as appropriate.
  • Serve as advisor and mentor to osteopathic medical students.
  • Collaborate and participate in departmental, college and/or university activities.
  • Participate in service activities as assigned which might include committee assignments, admissions interviews, or other service activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Satisfactory completion of an AOA-approved internship and AOA-approved residency program
  • AOA Board Certification
  • Active medical license issued by the State of Ohio Medical Board
  • At least 3 years clinical practice experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AOA Board Certification in osteopathic manipulative medicine
  • Experience developing, evaluating, and/or delivering medical school curriculum
