5th Annual OMM Skills Enhancement Course: Clinical Update in Primary Care

Cleveland OU-HCOM Campus

This course will teach how to incorporate osteopathic principles and osteopathic manipulation into the treatment plan for common conditions encountered in primary care. The conditions covered will be HEENT complaints, low back pain, and rib pain with respiratory complaints. The workshop will teach an approach to structural diagnosis and incorporate it into the standard clinical physical exam. Osteopathic Manipulation Techniques for each of the conditions will be preceded by a discussion of the anatomy associated with the technique and the pathophysiology for each condition. The course is appropriate for DOs and MDs with osteopathic training. Instructional approach will assist with incorporating common osteopathic techniques into a busy primary care practice.
